PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Parents as Teachers
TITLE: Parent Educator
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SALARY: $30,000.00

DUTIES:

1. Plan and conduct home visits to deliver PAT curriculum and other relevant information to families.
2. Provide developmental screenings to infants and children according to PAT guidelines.
3. Plan and deliver group meetings for parents.
4. Attend Staff meetings and on-going in-service training as required.
5. Build and maintain a file of community resource information.
6. Maintain accurate and timely records.
7. Participate in data collection and program evaluation, as assigned.
8. Plan special educational projects to benefit parents
9. Develop and maintain a network of community partners for the purpose of conducting special projects.
10. Assist program director with programmatic data collection and reporting.
11. Maintain a minimum on-going caseload of thirty-five clients.
12. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have a Bachelors Degree in social work, early childhood or elementary education, parent education or related field.
2. Certification as a Parents as Teachers parent trainer (training will be provided).
3. Must be sensitive to the culturally diverse population C.A.C. serves.
4. Must have a reliable car and valid driver’s license.
5. Must be able to pass complete background check and drug screening.
